High-Impact Cleaning with Wet or Dry Wash Options

As contaminated plastic enters the Turbo wash chamber, it meets a powerful rotor fitted with 32 individually calibrated paddles that can spin up to 3,000 RPM. Each paddle is coated with hard-wearing chromium carbide to maximise durability and reduce wear over time.

These high-speed spinning paddles deliver an intense mechanical energy impact to the material stream, effectively dislodging contaminants from the plastic surface.

The contamination is passed through a screen and collected at the sump at the bottom of the machine, while the clean contamination is passed through the machine.

Pure Centrifugal Power

Dry Wash

In a dry wash setup, no water or wash liquor is used. Instead, the machine relies entirely on centrifugal force to pull contamination from the material. As the contaminants break free, they collect in the sump for easy removal.

We find this method highly effective for general cleaning applications and where water conservation is a priority.

Extra Power for Stubborn Contamination

Wet Wash

The wet wash uses the same high-speed cleaning action, but with the addition of strategically positioned spray nozzles. These nozzles distribute water or wash liquor onto the material during the wash process, helping to further loosen and remove sticky, tacky, or otherwise stubborn contaminants.

For tougher applications, the system can also introduce heated water or chemical additives into the wash liquor for an even deeper clean.

High-Impact Rotor

Fitted with 32 chromium carbide-coated paddles, the powerful rotor delivers intense cleaning by breaking contaminants from the plastic surface.

Hexagonal Perforated Screen:

The perforated screen efficiently filters out water and contaminants, ensuring a clean and dry end product.

Customisable Functionality

Depending on your specific needs, the RJ-Turbo can be fitted with spray jetting and recirculation systems for enhanced washing capabilities.

Filtration:

We use a vibrating sieve to remove solid particles over 300 micron.

Holding Tank:

To supply the system with either heated or ambient temperature water

Gantry:

To locate the washer so the effluent can naturally drain into the recirculation system

Recirc Tank:

Fitted with coarse filtration to protect the pumps, should the sieve fail.

Flexible Integration: Standalone or Full-System Supply

This machine is available as a standalone machine, ready to be retrofitted into any existing plastic washing plant. If required, Rotajet can provide the RJ-Turbo as a full process plant, utilising more of our recycling machinery.
