The RJ-Turbo is a cutting-edge friction washer and dryer designed to rapidly remove moisture and impurities from various polymers. Its innovative design, featuring a high-speed spinning rotor and a hexagonal perforated screen, delivers exceptional cleaning results.
As the contaminated plastic enters the wash chamber, it is introduced to the 3000 rpm spinning rotor. This rotor is fitted with 32 independent paddles, each coated with chromium carbide to reduce wear time. These paddles can be individually calibrated in order to provide the perfect balance between throughput and washing standards.
The energy imparted on the product stream by this plastic washer is significant, forcing the contaminants to break free of the surface of the plastic. With a dry wash, the contaminants collect through the sump. With a wet wash, the contaminants are carried by the water, through the screen, and out into the effluent for filtration and reuse. If required, additional energy can be provided in the form of heated water and/or chemicals within the wash liquor.
