FAS 300 + 500 FINES AND DUST SEPARATOR
The FAS series accurately removes and separates fines, dust and fluff from the size reduction process of plastics. This system can be added to the recycling process to improve the quality of recycled material and ensure the working environment is free from dust and impurities.
The FAS series is ideal for removing the dust and fines made during the process of size reducing ridged plastics. This is an essential step to increase the quality of your material and to prepare the granulate for further processing.
This machine follows inline after the shredding and granulation process and uses form rigid granulate. It also can be applied for removal of dust and fluff on operations such; as HDPE blow moulding waste or, injection moulding waste. The separated fine material is discharged and collected into a container to ensure a dust free environment.
The FAS series separator operates using the free fall concept. There is no flow separation between material input and output. Therefore retrofitting the FAS fines separator into a presently operating system is very simple.
Due to the fact that the free fall element separates dust and other fluff in a separate container, the cleaned material is discharged through a total pressure free environment. This eliminates the need for a rotary valve or any other type of pressure eliminator which normally would be necessary when discharging into an open container.
