We want each of our machines to be the ideal solution for you. That’s why for our plastic recycling plants we can take care of everything from trials and design studies right through to installation, commissioning and operator-training.

We make it our mission to get a fully understand the complexities of your application by taking care of each step along the way to your operating facility. We even use our in-house fabrication team  taking care of everything down to the nuts and bolts. With this level of attention you can be assured that once installed at your facility, your machine will run smoothly for years in the future.

Our Turn-Key Recycling solutions

We want each of our machines to be the ideal solution fory you. Thats why for our plastic recycling plants we can take care of everything from trials and design studies right through to installation, commissioning and operator training

Dry

Rotajet manufacture a range of dryers from small vertical dryers with 7.5Kw motors to large horizontal machinery capable of processing many tons per hour. Rotajet dryers can be manufactured from both carbon steel and stainless steel

Wash

Washing plastic is a critical step in recycling
as all contaminants must be removed
during processing. Rotajet manufacture a
range of plastic washers that are used all
over the world to strip dirt, food, oils and
greases from plastic waste materials.

Separate

To process the materials and accurately separate, Rotajet manufacture and supply a variety of separation machinery from sink-float tanks to zig-zag separators and Erimaki vibrating sieves.

Size Reduce

Zerma Shredders & Granulators suit almost any size reduction application. With a wide range of powerful shredders, granulators, and spare parts, Zerma cater to even the most complex needs.

Rotajet specialise in the design and manufacture of fully integrated, turnkey plastic recycling plants. We take care of everything; from trials and studies right through to installation and training for our larger integrated systems.

WEEE - Waste Electrical and Electrical Equipment

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling industry is one that can offer some of the most profitable returns if managed properly.

Using integrated separation equipment such as a Sink Float Tank and magnets, a Rotajet WEEE plants can extract the valuable plastic materials from WEEE items whilst filtering out various contaminants like; glass, dirt, labels, and metal which, if required, can be filtered off for further processing.

PP - Polypropylene Recycling

Polypropylene (PP) represents a high-profit commodity within the plastic recycling industry which, due to its prominence within the plastic packaging market, has a large potential to be tapped into. Rotajet understands the unique complexities when it comes to recycling PP and with each stage of the process being accurately optimised, you can be assured that the quality of your end product will be of a consistently high-standard.

With 5 key stages, a Rotajet PP Recycling Plant will handle everything including the washing, drying, size reduction, separation and bagging off of the polypropylene

PE | HDPE | LDPE - Polyethylene Recycling

Due to its unique crystalline structure, Polyethylene (PE) can take many different material forms, therefore resulting in a varied and  wide-spread presence across the plastic packaging industry.

Rotajet has taken these complexities into account when designing the PE Plastic Recycling Plants to process the wide range of PE variations, including both LDPE and HDPE. With HDPE being the most hassle-free recyclable variation of PE, it is commonly collected by local councils and recycled at a rate of up to 30%, compared to LDPE at 5%. With a Rotajet PE Recycling Plant the recycling of different variations of PE is maximised to its full potential whilst simultaneously being made hassle-free and energy-efficient.

PET - Polyethylene Terephthalate Recycling

PET is a commonly recycled household product which, once processed through the relevant recycling stages can be resold as a valuable commodity into the plastics market. With 92% of post-consumer PET items being collected by local councils, this material represents a huge opportunity

With a Rotajet PET Recycling Plant, the entire recycling process can be managed from start to finish with very little need for operator input. With the careful consideration of the properties of PET taken into account,  Rotajet’s PET Recycling Plant can process the material with optimised efficiency, thus keeping processing costs to an absolute minimum. To account for the varying needs across the industry, our range of PET Recycling Plants are built as standard to suit a throughput rate of between 500kg and 3 metric tonnes per hour.

Mixed Rigid Recycling - Pots, tubs and trays

Recycling post-consumer Mixed Rigids can be a unique process due to the nature of the mixed plastic in-feed material. With this taken into account, Rotajet has developed a range of standard Mixed Rigids Recycling Plants able to process a throughput capacity of between 50kg and 1MT per hour.

To adhere to the specific industry requirements of recycling mixed rigids, Rotajet’s Mixed Rigid Plastic Recycling Plants has highly optimised separation equipment integrated to make sure that any contaminants are removed from the end product.

Plastic Film Recycling - PP | HDPE

Compared to other plastic types, plastic film has a particularly large surface area and lightweight structure, making it a unique material for plastic recycling. Historically, film plastic has been rejected from recycling facilities due to these unique complexities, however with the development of specialised equipment such as the Rotajet Film Recycling Plant, the process is now more efficient and hassle-free than ever.

Able to process large quantities of plastic film, this Film Recycling Plant helps to minimise machine downtime with an intelligent design that can manage the large surface area of the plastic.

Lead-Acid Battery Recycling

Recycling lead-acid batteries can be a complex but rewarding task. With the significant value present in the recovered lead and plastic, a Rotajet Battery Recycling Plant can provide the level of accuracy required for ensuring a quality end-product.

Unique to lead-acid battery recycling, the careful regulation of chemical contaminants, like highly-corrosive sulfuric acid, must be taken into consideration. For this reason, Rotajet’s Battery Recycling Plants have extra protective measures to ensure the health and safety of the operators and surrounding environment.

Container Recycling

Once containers are no longer suitable for use in production, recycling the plastic material can help to maximise profits whilst reducing costs of sending the container to landfill. With the help of a Rotajet Container Recycling Plant this entire process can be taken care of from start to finish, leaving you with a value commodity that is ready for resale into the plastics market.

Offering a full and comprehensive solution to managing containers, Rotajet also has a range of pressure testing and crushing machinery that can prepare the material for further processing in a Container Recycling Plant.

Servicing

Rotajet provides complete service and spare parts programs supported by our specially trained engineers. We offer preventative maintenance on existing and new machinery across the recycling industry.

System Design

Our engineering department undertake full design studies for each of the plastic recycling plants we produce. This ensures your system is fully optimised for your individual application and accounts for any specific logistical issues your operation may face.

If you are wishing to integrate Rotajet products to enhance the capacity of your existing system, our team can work directly with your engineers to optimise the design. Once this process is completed, you will receive the package of documentation for your approval prior to fabrication.

On-Site Trials

At our dedicated pilot plant in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, we run extensive on-site trials for all non-standard contamination and materials. This allows us to calculate the mass balances, effluent streams, and work out efficient process routes.

Once pilot trials have been conducted, Rotajet recommend that a full design study is carried out. Below is an outline of a typical study.

Remote Monitoring

Managing plastic recycling plants can be a complex and demanding task, so we have made sure our equipment provides a streamlined user experience. Remote monitoring is incorporated into each of our lines to provide operational data; allowing you to manage your site from wherever you are.

This means you can monitor your equipment and create early warning systems to alert you by phone when servicing or spares need replacing. We can also offer remote support if you chose to provide access to Rotajet’s engineers; allowing us to help optimise your system.
